Dalai Lama, Dalal Lama or, The Lie Lama

It has been several years since the United Nations has recognized Nepal as a birthplace of Gautam Buddha and Lumbini being solicited in the world heritage list by UNESCO. It is unfortunate to hear that Buddha was not born in Nepal spoken by so called “His Holiness”.

Dalai Lama had mammoth fan following in Nepal, mostly the inhabitants of upper belt of Nepal followed Mr. Lama with huge respect. Most of those fans and followers started removing the photo frame which hung in their walls few days ago. Being a spiritual leader, there was no any necessity to talk about Buddha’s birthplace, rather talking about his deeds would fructify.

Mr. Lama who is also a Nobel laureate showed the dark side of his intellect. It is a well-known fact that Lama is living an exile life in India. He said, Buddha was not a Nepali, not a Chinese, nor a Tibetian but an Indian master. May be there was no Nepal at that time, neither there was an India. For some, it may not be that big issue, but it is a matter of pride and dignity to people living in Nepal.

Protesters from around the world have emerged against Dalai Lama, claiming his as the “The Lie Lama”. Or is he rather the Dalal of India? Is he Dalal Lama? May be Dalal The Lie Lama sounds better.
